PROPOSED problem
For sellers, hosting a card break is time-consuming and scattered across multiple platforms. For buyers, the experience is inconsistent and confusing. The Instagram page also lacked clear visual branding.
What i worked on
I designed a platform for card breaking from the ground up, as none existed. My research guided key design decisions. When another designer joined, I shifted focus to creating a seller listing flow and overall user experience. I also contributed to branding and social media visuals.
the platform simplifies card breaking by streamlining hosting, standardizing setups, and enhancing the buyer experience. With improved visual branding, it offers a seamless, professional, and user-friendly experience for all.
Identifying pain points
discovery
Tedious for sellers, confusing for players.
Selling involves multiple platforms like Instagram and YouTube, along with varying presentation styles for listing products. This makes it tedious for sellers and can lead to confusion for players, as they struggle to access key information across different setups.

Sellers did manual work and wanted to reach a bigger audience
user Interviews
Selling face tedious, manual process for managing breaks, from filling spots to organize shipping. Without a streamlines system, reaching new buyers, was a challenging, as players tended to stick with familiar breakers rather than exploring new options.

How were sellers hosting card breaks?
user survey
All sellers relied on multiple platforms or manual notes to share details with buyers. Instagram was the preferred platform for its ease of use, with YouTube close behind. The right information needed to be clearly displayed for buyers.

How might we design this platform?
competitor analysis
I found key features that drive successful selling platforms: easy product listing and reselling, live hosting, broad audience reach, and a trusted marketplace. With no dedicated platform on the market, we focused on creating an intuitive, all-in-one solution that simplifies the process for both sellers and buyers.
